Program of Study
All courses offered in this University provide the learner the opportunity to know Jesus Christ and His anticipated second coming and hopefully get ready for that glorious day. From three distinct Schools, the University offers undergraduate and graduate programs of study leading to Certificates, Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral Degrees in the following areas:
A) School of Science and Technology Theology
B) School of Christian Counseling and Clinical Pastoral Care
C) School of Theology
GOD OF THE BIBLE
This is a Theological Foundational course that explores the attributes of the God of the Bible and His relationship with all His creation with special interest in His relationship with man and distinguishes Him from every other thing that is called god. This course is designed to assist the learner develop statements of faith based on the knowledge of the One and Only True God.
OLD TESTAMENT SURVEY I
This course provides an overview of the Old Testament starting from Genesis to Second Kings (II Kings). Each book is read thoroughly with the broad aim of identifying the author, message, theme, audience, and the spiritual significance relating to the redemption of man.
OLD TESTAMENT SURVEY II
Prerequisite: Old Testament Survey I. This course explores the splitting of the kingdom of Israel, and the kings of the divided kingdom, the writings, wisdom literature, the Major Prophets, as well as the Major Prophets. This course shows new ways God began to interact with His people, and His ability to keep covenant.
NEW TESTAMENT SURVEY I
This course provides both the historical and thematic survey of the four Gospels and the Acts of the Apostles. There is a special emphasis on the cultural, geographical and historical setting leading to the preparation, entrance of the earthly life and ministry of the Savior, Jesus Christ.
NEW TESTAMENT SURVEY II
Prerequisite: New Testament Survey I. This course is a historical and thematic survey of the New Testament from the Acts of the Apostles to the Book of Revelation. The purpose of the course is to understand each of the component books as part of the whole message of Kingdom living in the epistles as expected of the Church and every believer.
EARTHLY LIFE AND MINISTRY OF JESUS CHRIST
This course is a detailed study of the deity, earthly life and ministry of Jesus Christ as presented in the four Gospels. The period between the Old and the New Testaments is also covered. The course also examines the social, political, and economic parameters of that time which some perceive might have influenced his ministry. The story of the earthly life of Jesus Christ cannot be concluded without telling how He left the earth, where He is now, and how and when He is expected to fulfill His promised coming-back.
HOLY SPIRIT STUDY I
The main purpose of this course is to explore the person, power and works of the Holy Spirit and His relationship to mankind. This done by examining the Deity and role of the Holy Spirit as Co-Creator; and His functions in the Old Testament; the three great dispensations/ ages in which one Person of the Godhead is prominent, as well as the promise, and the ushering in of the Holy Spirit era as experienced in the day of Pentecost as believers became partakers of the life and fullness of the risen Savior.
HOLY SPIRIT STUDY II
Prerequisite: Holy Spirit Study I. This course focuses on the maturing process of life in the Holy Spirit of the believer. The nine gifts of the Holy Spirit are defined, with the objectives inherent in each. The course also discusses the relevance and functions of these gifts in the church today. Learners are encouraged to explore their gifts through prayer and fasting, and laying-on of the hand by brethren in their local assemblies.
